PACGDC Attends Summer Board Retreat

Board members of the Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation (PACGDC) traveled to Jefferson, Iowa on August 5th to mark the one year anniversary of Wild Rose Casino-Jefferson. PACGDC also held an informational meeting with Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation during its visit. Both volunteer non-profit boards hold licenses and distribute grant dollars for Wild Rose Casinos. Each year PACGDC selects an Iowa casino to tour and meet with its non-profit board.

“We were anxious to tour the new Wild Rose Casino-Jefferson and also talk with our counterparts in Greene County that have just started distributing grants dollars. It was a quick visit, but seeing how other counties distribute gaming dollars is always insightful. We picked up numerous ideas to bring back to Palo Alto County and Wild Rose Casino-Emmetsburg,” said PACGDC President, Renee Jedlicka.

PACGDC will be announcing educational meetings coming in early October for any organizations interested in applying for grant dollars. The non-profit board is also seeking two candidates for board seats that will represent Emmetsburg and Graettinger or surrounding areas. For more information on the grant process or application for board membership, please visit the PACGDC website at www.paloaltogaming.org.
